MarrakechFlights.com earns commission on flight, hotel, car rental, and activity bookings. Here's exactly how that works and what it means for you.

The short version

When you click an outbound link on MarrakechFlights.com and subsequently book a flight, hotel, car rental, tour, or activity, we receive a small commission from the merchant. This commission is paid by the merchant (airline, OTA, hotel platform), not you — your fare is identical whether you book through us or directly.

This commission structure is the primary way we fund the site. It allows us to operate without charging users, without running banner ads, and without selling personal data.

Who we partner with

Our affiliate relationships are managed through the following networks:

• Travelpayouts — flight search (Aviasales, Jetradar) and hotel search (Hotellook) aggregators
• Individual hotel booking platforms — via Travelpayouts umbrella: Booking.com, Expedia, Hotels.com, Agoda, Hotelbeds, and 70+ others
• GetYourGuide — tours, activities, and experiences
• Discover Cars / Getrentacars — car rental comparison
• Airalo — eSIM data plans

Commission rates

Typical commission rates across our partner networks:

• Flights: 1-4% of fare (paid on completed travel, not booking)
• Hotels: 3-8% of room rate
• Car rentals: 5-8% of rental total
• Activities: 6-10% of activity price
• eSIMs: 10-15% of plan cost

These rates are negotiated by the affiliate networks, not by us individually. We cannot influence them.

How this affects rankings

Our search results are ranked by algorithm based on price, duration, and user ratings — NOT by commission rate. If Airline A pays us 3% and Airline B pays us 1%, the one with the cheapest fare for your search still appears first.

However, transparency requires we note: all airlines and hotels we feature in search results are affiliate partners. Non-partner inventory doesn't appear in our comparisons (we simply can't fetch their data).

What this doesn't change

Your experience as a user is identical to booking directly:

• Same fare / room rate
• Same cancellation policy
• Same loyalty points / miles eligibility
• Same customer service (you deal directly with the airline/hotel, not us)

Tracking technology

When you click an outbound link, we use tracking codes (a "marker" and "sub-ID" parameters) to attribute the booking to us. This information tells the merchant that the booking came via MarrakechFlights.com, but does not share any personal information about you. See our privacy policy for full details.

In accordance with U.S. Federal Trade Commission guidelines on affiliate marketing disclosure, we make this commission structure clear on every page that contains affiliate links. Specifically:

• Affiliate buttons are labeled with rel="sponsored" for search engine transparency

• Our search results page includes a summary notice
