Editorial policy
How we produce, verify, and update content on MarrakechFlights.com.
Our editorial principles
- Accuracy over opinion. We prioritize verifiable facts over subjective takes. Where we do offer an opinion ("this riad is worth the money"), we flag it clearly.
- First-hand where possible. Guides about specific Marrakech experiences (where to stay, what to eat, which airport taxi to trust) are written by travelers who've been there recently.
- Transparent dating. Every guide shows a "last updated" date. Destinations change. Prices shift. Policies evolve. An undated travel guide is a red flag.
- Monetization separate from editorial. We earn commission on outbound bookings, but editorial decisions (what we cover, how we rank options, what we recommend) are made independently of commission rates. A higher-commission partner never gets ranked above a better user option.
Content sources
Factual claims in our guides come from:
- Direct author experience (most destination and neighborhood guides)
- Current-year research from official government sources (visa, vaccination, currency)
- Cross-referenced industry data (flight schedules, aircraft types, airline route information)
- Community input from returning travelers we've heard from via email or social media
AI assistance
We use AI tools (including Claude, OpenAI's GPT-series, and Anthropic models) for: research summarization, first-draft outlines, fact-checking against multiple sources, and grammar editing. A human editor reviews and approves every published piece. We do not publish fully AI-generated content without human editorial intervention.
Corrections
If you find an error, email contact@marrakechflights.com with the page URL and the specific issue. We aim to correct factual errors within 48 hours. Significant corrections are logged at the bottom of the affected page.
Independence
- We do not accept sponsored posts.
- We do not take payment from airlines, hotels, or tour operators for favorable coverage.
- We do not swap "review for stay" arrangements with properties.
- Affiliate partnerships are limited to search-matching networks (Travelpayouts, Hotellook aggregators) where we don't have relationships with individual merchants.
What we won't cover
- Political analysis of Morocco
- Private individuals without their consent
- Destinations we haven't visited or thoroughly researched
- "Deals" that aren't genuinely better than market rate
